THE FILM
Wasted Youth is a documentary about running away after waking up on the other side of someone else's dream, and the long road that runs between who you were and who you become. It follows Aidan Doyle, who walked away from a stable career in New York City to chase something real, something that he wanted. This story follows him and those along the way that kept him going.
What began as a drive down the Pan-American Highway became a four-year odyssey through twenty countries, from the deserts of Baja to the glaciers of Patagonia and the wild seas of Alaska. Along the way came love, isolation, and a growing understanding that the road was less about distance and more about shedding everything that once defined him. And ultimately, sharing it.
Filmed over thousands of miles and days, Wasted Youth captures a life lived on the edge of certainty and society. It’s a story of risk and renewal, told through the lens of movement. Surfing remote coastlines, sleeping out of a car, and chasing light across the Americas. What emerges is both an adventure film and a portrait of a generation searching for meaning beyond the version of success we were taught to want.

Shot and directed by Kevan Doyle and Pablo Jimeno, and produced by and starring Aidan Doyle. The film blends intimate self-documentation with cinematic visuals that trace the intersection of freedom, solitude, and purpose.
